Crispy Chicken Thighs
Ingredients:- Chicken Thighs
- Garlic Salt
- Lemon
- Onion
- Oil
- Butter
- Optional Marinade:
- 1/3 c. Soy Sauce
- 1/3 c. Water
- 1/4 c. Oil
- 1-2 cloves Garlic, minced
- Juice of one small Lemon
So many ways to do this...
- Pat chicken dry with paper towels (this makes the skin crispier when baking).
- (Optional: marinate chicken overnight)
- Heat oven to 375 degrees.
- Use a baking sheet with sides so that the juices don t run off in your oven.
- Cover baking sheet with foil for easy clean up.
- (Optional: Stack one slice of Onion + one slice of Lemon under every piece of chicken on baking sheet, not necessary if you marinated.)
- Place chicken thighs, skin side up, on baking sheet leaving at least 1.5" space between each.
- (Optional: mix softened butter with salt/pepper/other seasoning of your choice. Loosen chicken skin by gently running your finger under the skin, creating a pocket but making sure to leave the edges attached. Put ~1/2 t. butter mixture under the skin of each thigh. Don t worry about spreading it around, it will spread as it melts.)
- Brush top of each thigh with oil (or drizzle a little oil on top).
- Sprinkle with garlic salt.
- Bake at 375 degrees for 1 hour. If skin gets too dark, lay a piece of foil over the chicken during the last 10 minutes of baking.
